Decisions, Decisions

I have completed all the studio tours I needed to do and now I've made a decision! YEY! I'm very excited!

I spent a lot of time yesterday doing CD planning. I made a CD of all the songs I'm doing (except one) so that I can listen to it, feel secure with the songs, and get a better idea of what I'm looking for as far as instrumentation. Later this month will involve copying sheet music, making copies of that CD I made yesterday so outsiders can get a feel of the songs that I'm doing, and just general organizing.

The next step is to schedule recording time, set all my arrangements, and hire musicians. The muscian hiring should be simple because the studio will be connecting me with professionals. From there, we'll need to set up some rehearsal time with those pros before stepping into the studio; I plan on doing that the last week of July. Recording should start the first week of August.

I am going away in the second week of August and Gina is going away the third week, so it gives us some hurdles for August, but I think we'll be able to scrounge up enough time to make a great dent that month.
