Liz Seymour and Claudia Carlsson - Two Powerhouse Singers Join Together For Liz Seymour's CD
Day 2 of the recording sessions for Liz Seymour's CD: Liz Seymour - That Thing Called Love is now past and the electricity that was generated is probably lighting the Philadelphia Phillies Citizen's Bank Park this evening (as the Phillies are beating the Florida Marlins).
Liz Seymour's CD is being recorded at Range Recording Studios (www.RangeRecordingStudios.com) and today Liz was joined by Claudia Carlsson, the well-known Philadelphia-area cabaret singer.
Claudia has one of the most powerful voices anywhere in the Pennsylvania-Delaware-New Jersey area. Her cabaret performances throughout the area always include powerful, emotional songs.
She has dedicated herself to teaching young people about theater and is the Executive Director of the Young People's Theatre Workshop (www.YPTW.org).
One of her most popular courses is the Broadway Rep class which she runs. Through this class, young people learn about Broadway composing teams and they learn specific songs.
In fact, Liz took these classes when she was still in school, and Claudia has been a mentor ever since.
As with yesterday's video featuring Liz Seymour and Josh Young, we can't show you much… but here is the ending to the featured duet, "I've Been Here Before."
Please remember that the sound is from the teensy mic pickup on the video camera AND you are watching an early take of the recording. But you'll still get an idea about the excitement that these two professionals bring to this recording.
And as for Liz, she had no time to waste today - she had to rush off to a rehearsal for Seussical in which she will be featured in September.
Enjoy this video snippet from today's recording session!
