Liz Seymour at the Grand Canyon… with Felix

Liz Seymour and the Grand Canyon… when her Music Video is released, you'll see what we were doing there.

But for fun, we joined a group arranged by Darrell of Grand Canyon Tours (www.grand-adventures.com) that included a couple from Newtown, PA on their honeymoon, two from Singapore on vacation, four of us…. and Felix.

Felix had been studying Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and was now touring parts of the U.S. before heading back to Germany.

It's amazing what you can learn about someone in such a short time:

• 24 years old
• loves adventure
• travels with no fear and stays in hostels wherever he can
• loves to party late and travel with NO sleep!
• had never had Fritos before the trip (my wife told him they go great with bean dip)
• had been on dialysis and received a kidney from his mother.

Felix explained that neither of his own kidneys had been removed - the doctors just added one of his mother's kidney to his lower right side. (He proudly showed us the scar!)

But more than all of this, Felix was a really nice, enthusiastic young man who loved to joke around and have a good time, as you will see (heart-stopping though it may have been).

And he joined in the spirit by telling people in German to buy Liz's CD from her website.

Now THAT's a good guy!
