"There's no stopping Liz Seymour! You have the magic and one hell of a gift"

"Wowie! What a powerhouse and amazing talent. You don't have to worry about your musical career…there's no stopping Liz Seymour! After listening to "Gimme Gimme" I had to hear everything. I loved them all. You have the magic and one hell of a gift. What chops! As you know, delivering a song is simply telling a story. The listener needs to "believe" the storyteller. (Easier said than done!) Liz understands that completely and delivers big time. And her phrasing is superb. Please keep me up to date on whatever Liz does."
Robert Silverman, San Diego, CA USA

"I look forward to seeing Liz on Broadway, soon!"
Movie and Broadway Star, Peter Gallagher

"She puts her heart and soul into every performance…"

"Liz is a phenomenal performer as well as a phenomenal person.
She never backs down and puts her heart and soul into
every performance, whether in front of a thousand people or ten."
Gina Giachero - Music Director

"Her talent as a performer is only matched by her warmth as a person."

"I've been making music with Liz Seymour since preschool. Her talent as a performer is only matched by her warmth as a person. I feel lucky to be able to count her as a friend and colleague."
Brian Lowdermilk - Award-winning Composer, Kerrigan-Lowdermilk.com

"On countless occasions she has sent chills up my spine or brought tears to my eyes."

"I will never forget the first time I ever heard Liz perform. She absolutely blew me away and I wondered how such an enormous sound could come out of such a little person.

"But it's more than just the sheer power of her belt that impressed me. Liz has the ability to really move people when she performs. She makes you feel what her character is feeling in the moment. On countless occasions she has sent chills up my spine or brought tears to my eyes. With all of that talent it would be very easy to have a diva complex but Liz is so down to earth and one of the funniest people I know."
Rachel Marie Brooks - Miss Pennsylvania 2007

Little did 25-year old Liz Seymour know (when she was two years old sitting on the piano bench next to her Mom when Mom played church songs and show tunes) that she would grow up to be a singer.

Liz loves tough, emotional, rip-your-heart-and-soul-out songs… and she has several on her new CD: Liz Seymour - That Thing Called Love. Being the fifth generation of her family to direct and perform at The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater (near her home outside of Philadelphia, PA USA), music has been a big part of Liz's life since birth.

Once a close family friend (a good musician in her own right) said that at age two, Liz shouldn't be able to hear Mom play a note and then match it with her voice… she was just too young for that: but she COULD.

For as long as she can remember, Liz has been a singer:

  • at the piano with Mom;
  • in Nursery Day School while leading all the kids in her own “production” of Peter Pan (and then flying high in the lead role in middle school);
  • solos in church and school;
  • first chair at District and Regional Choruses;
  • State Chorus;
  • lead roles in Young People’s Theatre Workshop, Upper Darby Summer Stage, high school, and at The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater;
  • and as Miss West Chester University 2004 where her singing (Gimme Gimme from "Thoroughly Modern Millie," which is on her CD) helped her win the crown.

When she was little, she dreamed of being a singer for her career. And though she spends a majority of her time being a 6th grade teacher (and theater teacher/choreographer to children on the weekends), singing remains her passion. And you'll hear the passion, heart, emotion, and strength she pours into every song when you hear her CD (or some sample track snippets here on the site).

Liz's songs rip your heart out, throw it on the ground, stomp on it, throw it back in, and if it's still working: who cares… by then you will have been touched by Liz's special magic.

And yet some songs give you strength, hope, and a new outlook on life as she softly and melodically shows you the tenderness that a truly good friend would show. Listen as she dedicates herself to love: love broken, love lost, love hoped for, love found.

Her new album features an overall theme of love, although it is not your typical happy-go-lucky or down-in-the-dumps songs about love but rather tells the full-circle story of love. With an underlying feel of country, pop, and Broadway, she is able to create music with a great deal of heart and soul.

Special guest singers on the album include Josh Young (who toured the U.S. as Marius in Les Miserables and plays Link in "Hairspray" at the Walnut Street Theatre) and Claudia Carlsson (the well-known Cabaret singer and Executive Director of YPTW where Liz was a student and now a teacher, director, and choreographer).

Liz is also excited to be singing a song composed by Brian Lowdermilk and Kait Kerrigan, the award-winning New York composing team she has known for years. (She and Brian recently realized that they are each others longest-time friends, going back to nursery day school.)

And she's found a new Signature Song with Jason Robert Brown's seldom recorded, "Still Hurting" which will crush your heart if you've even felt the pain of a love-relationship broken.

In addition, she has completed three new videos that coincide with songs from Liz Seymour - That Thing Called Love, and all these videos are available on THIS site, including "Gimme Gimme" - she went to Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and the Grand Canyon for principal video photography for this one!

This site is dedicated to showing you what is going on with her life and how good a performer she is.

Here's a Quick Way to learn more about Liz and what's here on the site:

"She is the ultimate professional!"

I have known Liz Seymour since she was in 6th grade. I have watched her grow as a singer/actor/dancer. Liz is the ultimate professional. No matter what the role, production, or venue, Liz always delivers a star quality performance. She can light up the stage with her powerful voice, her dazzling smile, and her dynamite personality.
Darrin Peters - Theater Director

"Her performance starts in her heart and emanates through her eyes, bright smile, and her brilliant expressions."

"So many words describe Liz Seymour– compassionate, sophisticated, charismatic, grounded, and committed – but more than any of these, the word that best describes Liz is talented.

"I feel blessed every time I hear her sing. Not only am I overwhelmed by her huge voice that seems an improbable match for her petite body, but I am impressed by her ability to emote each composition she tackles. Her performance starts in her heart and emanates through her eyes, bright smile, and her brilliant expressions. It's her ability to connect with the audience that allows her to achieve such successful performances.

"Liz is part of the Miss WCU family. Through her involvement in this program she demonstrates her dedication to service and promoting leadership development in young women. I wish her all the best as she continues to gain wider fame for her phenomenal talent!"
Dr. Michelle Filling - Miss West Chester University 1999

"She continually surpasses all expectations."

"Knowing the long theatrical history of Liz's family, it was not a great surprise to me when she, as a 13 year old, came to an audition for and won the role of Mary in my production of The Secret Garden. Young Liz's professional approach to dealing with a very difficult script and score manifested itself in a truly magnificent performance.

"Now, having watched her continued successes, there are no surprises; Liz has become an exceptional multi-talented performer who continually surpasses all expectations."
Bohdan Senkow, Director of Theatre, Widener University
