Liz Seymour doesn't shy away from tough, rip-your-heart-and-soul-out songs… in fact, she loves them.

And she has several on her new CD: Liz Seymour - That Thing Called Love.

For years, Gimme Gimme from the Broadway show, Thoroughly Modern Millie, has been a signature song of Liz's. Sung in cabarets in the Philadelphia area, Liz's powerful voice and emotional connection with her audience has them begging for more.

Sutton Foster, who sang Gimme Gimme on Broadway, has been a real favorite of Liz's - Sutton can explode her energy with Gimme Gimme as well.

So when it came time to think about songs to turn into Music Videos, there was no question for me that Gimme Gimme had to be one of them.

But where would we create it?

Then it hit me - though she's singing about a guy ("Gimme Gimme that thing called love" the lyric says - now you see the connection to the CD's title), why not turn the image and the background into a huge landmark. A REALLY huge landmark…

For THIS version of the video (you'll find another one later), you'll see that Liz is singing in Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and the Grand Canyon, where we went to create this piece. The surroundings are as large in scope as Liz's voice is in emotion.

So "that thing called love" is the Grand Canyon.

And what a beautiful thing it is.

Though it was stormy when we arrived, we still managed to get some terrific still photographs and some meaningful video.

So… we're off on a journey from a beautiful park all the way to the Grand Canyon.

Charlie, your daughter, Liz, has a lot of talent - I've enjoyed whatr I've seen so far. The only criticism I haave is in the choice of a supporting cast. Despite his reputation as a hard boiled businessman, the really old guy will never convince an audience that he is anything but a teddy bear.
On a personal note, my granddaughter Meg Hild has just started her freshman year at Sir Richard Grenfell college in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, majoring in dramatic arts. I hope that she can develop as successfully as Liz..
Please give my best regards to your folks, and congratulations to Liz.

I never tire of hearing you sing this song. To me this is like your signature song. It blows me away every time. Wonderfully done! All the best on your CD.

I did Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr. in Theater Camp. I heard this song a thousand times, but this was the best. I sang the whole time when I was watching this video.
See Ya School.

Shannon Sauer @ 7:54 pm

I've heard this song before from the radio and people singing it. This was clearly the best. Madeline Marvin invited me over for her birthday and I showed her this website. That song is awesome!
See you at school.
P.S.- I am really studying my science test.
